The following synopsis is intended to summarize the various sub-fields encompassed by bacteriophage ecology. These fields are listed under eight main headings:
  1. Theory
  2. Phage components of ecosystems
  3. Phage systematics
  4. Phage model systems
  5. Phage evolutionary ecology
  6. Phage applied microbiology
  7. Phage therapy
  8. Non-viral unicellular organism parasites
as well as numerous subheadings (and further subdivisions). Associated with each area I have listed researchers with experience studying these areas, with links back to member's Bacteriophage Ecology Group entries. This page is a work in progress and I am very much open to suggestions on such things as content, order, addition/removal of headings/subheadings, addition/removal of associated researchers, etc. Please contact me with any suggestions.
